Friday 7th September

Gala Dinner and Ceilidh

Three-course sit down dinner at the Jury’s Inn, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets needed. Set menu (please inform us of special dietary requirements).

Ceilidh, from 9pm

Bring dancing shoes (and legs) as the gala dinner will be followed by a ceilidh (pronounced ‘kaylee’).  This is a form of group dancing to traditional folk music, played by a live band.

The dances have specific steps and wonderful names such as the ‘Gay Gordons’ and there will be a ‘caller’ who will demonstrate the dance steps and tell us what to do next, so you don’t need to have any previous experience or special skills!!

We are very lucky to have a London band called ‘Ceilidh Tree’ hosting our ceilidh.  You can watch some of their videos to see the enormous fun to be had, by clicking on the following link: www.ceilidhtree.co.uk
